Indirect Speech (Indirekte Rede)
Indirect speech is used to report what someone else said.
Basic Structure
Reporting verb + dass + ... + Verb (at end)
Direct: Er sagt: "Ich bin müde."
Indirect: Er sagt, dass er müde ist.
Reporting Verbs
Without "dass"
You can omit "dass" - then normal word order:

Yes/No Questions: Use ob
W-Questions: Keep the question word

In formal writing, Konjunktiv I is used:
For everyday speech, indicative is fine:
